De Synagoge in de Gerard Doustraat is een van de oudste -nog actieve- Asjkenazische sjoels in Amsterdam. De sjoel werd in 1892 door de vereniging “Hulpe Israëls” gebouwd en neemt een eigen plaats in binnen de Orthodox-Joodse Gemeenschap van Amsterdam.
De traditioneel Nederlands-Joodse melodieën en rituelen, het prachtige, authentieke interieur en de gezellige sfeer zorgen ervoor dat de diensten in de Gerard Doustraat-synagoge zeer bijzonder zijn. Een ieder die de sjoel bezoekt wordt altijd hartelijk welkom geheten.
Locatie
Onze Sjoel is gelegen aan de Gerard Doustraat 238 in "De Pijp", Amsterdam, dichtbij het kruispunt van de Albert Cuypstraat en de Van Woustraat. Bekijk de kaart.

The Synagogue in the Gerard Doustreet is one of the oldest functioning Ashkenazi shuls in Amsterdam. Built in 1892 by the society "Hulpe Israëls" (Israel's Help), it holds a special place in Amsterdam's Jewish Orthodox community.
The traditional Dutch-Jewish melodies and rituals, the beautiful, authentic interior and the gezellige (cozy) atmosphere make services at the Gerard Dou street shul exceptional. First-time visitors are always warmly welcomed.
